This book is from Valek’s point of view, the companion to Magic Study, book 2 in the series – from Yelena’s point of view. So the storyline is recognisable because you’ve read it from Yelena’s point of view before. Still worth a read because Valek sees things differently.
The Chronicles of Ixia is one of my favourite series, so I’m very happy Maria V Snyder is adding to the series. I will try to review all the books in due time! Ms Snyder, please write more – maybe some more Opal stories, or a continuation of Yelena’s storyline!
