Sydney finds out her boyfriend Hunter is cheating with her best friend and roommate. She leaves the flat immediately and finds shelter with Ridge, the handsome stranger she often sees playing the guitar on his balcony. They’d been in touch via text messages because he wanted to know what lyrics she’s singing to his original music.
Ridge and Sydney are very attracted to each other, there’s one thing standing in the way of a romance though… Ridge’s relationship with Maggie, a drop-dead gorgeous woman who gets along famously with Sydney.
Colleen Hoover knows how to write tear-jerkers. Maybe Someday is a decent story, I like the fact that Ridge and Sydney do not want to get involved because of his relationship with Maggie. However, it’s not a huge surprise that they do end up together.
The supporting cast of Warren and Bridgette is excellent too. Their story is fleshed out in Maybe Not, a novella in this series.
