Ellen Keane is an Irish paralympic swimmer and in Perfectly Imperfect she’s written a combination of a memoir and self-help book. She wants the world to embrace their own differences to find their super power. Ellen tells us about her youth, and how she got into swimming – and then about the Paralympic games she attended as a swimmer. She went on to win a gold medal in the women’s 100 metre breast stroke in Tokyo 2020 (2021 really).
I listened to this book and found Ellen to be a very happy and optimistic young lady (yes, she’s 28 and that’s young to me!) At times all the positivity was a bit much – but then again I’m a grumpy old woman!
