Book 1 in the A Stitch in Time series.
Bronwyn Dale inherits Thorne Manor, a place where she spent a lot of time as a young girl. She was able to travel back in time where she visited William Thorne, who was the same age as her. Her family didn’t believe she was able to travel back in time and had her committed to a psychiatric hospital for a while. After she was released she never came back to Thorne Manor.
Now, she is a professor of history in Canada, and she visits the manor now that she’s the owner of it. She finds a little kitten in a closed room and decides to name her Enigma, because she has no idea where she came from. That first night Bronwyn is awoken by a man in her bed… and it’s her William!
I guess you’d classify this as a bodice ripper with some time travel thrown in for good measure. I did enjoy the time travel more than the romance part of it. Bronwyn is a likeable, smart woman who turns into a sex-crazed vixen when William is around.
