Jazz Bashara is a smuggler in Artemis, the only city on the moon, where she’s lived since she was 6 years old. Life in Artemis is expensive as it’s a destination for rich tourists. Jazz is convinced by a customer to participate in some kind of heist. At first she wants to turn him down but the money he offers convinces her to go along with the plan. If they’re caught, they will be sent back to earth to live.
I’m probably in the minority, but I didn’t like Andy Weir’s The Martian. Artemis, however, kept me entertained. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Rosario Dawson.
