Lucy wakes up in the middle of the night with her hands around her ex-lover’s neck and consequently she’s suspended from the university. She’s been having the strangest dreams about two sisters from Ireland who were sent to Australia as a punishment because they committed a crime.

I absolutely adore this book – I love the way it looks (I have the version with the sprayed edges – mermaid scales on the side of pages) and I just loved the book…
