When she was in high school, Brooke’s former best friend Bailey killed herself on the night she became prom queen. Brooke left her hometown as soon as she could and never turned back. However, her mother recently passed away and now she’s back in town twenty years later. She bumps into a true crime podcaster, who is wearing Bailey‘s pendant, the pendant she was wearing the night she died.
The podcaster asks for Brooke’s help in unraveling what actually happened the night Bailey died because she suspects her death was not a suicide.
This was a great read. It kept me guessing until the end!
