Vera Wong is now telling everyone that she’s a private detective for after all she helped the police solve the murder that happened in her tea room. So when a distraught young woman appears on her doorstep, Vera offers her services. She soon finds out that the young man the woman is looking for is not what he seems. The woman, Millie, knows him as Thomas, but the world of Instagram knows him as Xander an influencer.
Vera also loves to meddle in the lives of her son Tilly and his partner Selena. Selena is a police officer who is leading the investigation into the death of the young man they called John Doe – Millie’s Thomas. Vera is very fond of Selena, and refers to her as her future daughter in law – and she cannot wait to have grandchildren.
I love Vera Wong so much… she’s a larger than life auntie with a tremendous heart for others. She’s also incredibly funny! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
