Book 3 of The Empyrean Series
In this book we find Violet Sorrengail desperate to cure her lover Xaden Riorson who has turned venin but hasn’t yet channeled his powers. She is tasked to find the seventh dragon breed and to finalise the alliance with the gryphon riders.
Xaden and Violet are separated because he’s reinstated as the Duke of Tyrrendor and given a seat on the Senarium, but this doesn’t stop their romance.
As much as I loved the first two books in the series, I am starting to struggle with it now. The sex scenes are getting more pornographic by the paragraph and it’s starting to get a bit annoying. Also, the entire premise of the book seems a bit more cluttered than the previous two in the series.
Nevertheless, I shall persevere if there’s a fourth in the series… because I like Violet.
