Winifred Weatherby is a girl genius and inventor of gadgets. She is recruited to join a spy circle: her majesty’s league of remarkable ladies, and is shocked to find out her friend Adelaide Culpepper is part of them too. Winnie’s inventions will help the spies in guarding her majesty herself.
Winnie is quite distraught as her father has gone missing and when she goes looking for him she’s taken prisoner by one of her father’s competetors. Thankfully her fellow spies help her escape.
When her majesty dismisses her, Winnie travels to Paris with Prince Bertie to meet up with her father. However, her father’s enemy is still after his invention and tries to kill her father.
A lovely little book. Winnie is adorable and always getting into trouble with her headmistress, the spy mistress and her fellow spies. I would love to read a sequel!
