Vengeance of the Pirate Queen by Tricia Levenseller

Vengeance of the Pirate Queen

Book 3 of the Daughter of the Pirate King series

Sorinda is the daughter of a nobleman. When she was five years old, her entire family was murdered by a relative who wanted her father’s title. That’s when the cold-blooded assassin was born. Sorinda slit the throat of the man who killed her family when she was just a child. Now at 18, she’s the Pirate Queen Alosa’s assassin and the captain of the ship Vengeance.

Sorinda and her crew are sent on a mission to find a crew of women that have gone missing. When they find 7-year-old Roslyn as a stowaway they’re ordered to leave her at one of the islands on the way but due to unforeseen circumstances they are unable to do so.

Sorinda and her crew wake the King of the Undersea, Threydan, a human turned immortal by a siren artefact, the panaceum. Much to the dismay of Sorinda’s sailing master Kearan, Threydan wants Sorinda as his bride.

I really enjoyed this book. I re-read the other two before I embarked on this one. This book about Sorinda is jampacked with action. Not too fussed with the zombie like creatures (they freak me out!) but on the whole, the storyline was great! I think this one was the best of the series and I’d love to see a sequel on Roslyn.
