Katniss Everdeen won the Hunger Games and returned to District 12, to her mum and sister Primrose, and other best friend Gale. Nothing is the way it should be: Peeta has turned his back on her and Gale, he’s keeping her at a distance.
Now The Hunger Games are about to start again and they have announced that the tributes will be picked from the previous winners. As Katniss is the only female winner from District 12, this means she will be going back into the arena. The only question is: will it be Peeta or Haymitch joining her?
An excellent sequel to The Hunger Games. Katniss is back in the arena fighting for her life. It’s really nice to learn about the previous winners of the Hunger Games in this book. I love Suzanne Collins’ writing style. Having seen the film based on this book as well,I’m pleased they stayed close to the source material!
