Book 2 of the Finlay Donovan Series
At the end of the previous book, Finlay found out that someone has put a contract out on her ex-husband Steven. Even though no one seems to have taken the contract yet, Finlay is hesitant to let Steven spend time with their kids alone. Steven has left his fiancée and has only just rented a new place to live. He insists that the kids visit him. Finlay is very anxious about this and spies on them. At the same time, she tries to find out who put a contract on Steven and who is the person hiding behind the name Easy Clean who has taken the contract?
Finlay has been dating Julian, the law student for a while now, but he hasn’t met anyone in her life. While Julian is on holiday, police detective Nick comes back into Finn’s life.
Finlay has a way of getting herself into trouble. She’s meant to write a sequel to the book she wrote based on her experiences in the first book of the series, but she gets sidetracked, mainly by the hit taken out on Steven. Even though he was a lousy husband, he’s a good dad to her children and she doesn’t want him dead. She gets caught up in horrible situations once again, but can she save Steven’s life?
