Sappho Jones is 39 and single. Through one of her friends she meets potter Nye who isn’t her type at all but she does fall for him. Her jealous ex tries to come between them. By the end of the book all is well, Sappho and Nye are together and expecting a baby.
Romance novels so aren’t my thing and this one was pretty meh. Thankfully it was a quick read. I do like Trisha Ashley’s style, the writing was witty and light. It was a quick read but it was somehow lacking – no smut, no excitement…
All in all, I wouldn’t have picked this up if it hadn’t been for the PopSugar prompt and I kind of feel like I wasted £ 2.99 on this piece of fluff. 3 stars for the humour.
