The Debutantes by Olivia Worley

The Debutantes

Last year Margot Landry was found dead in her car, she overdosed, the morning after she’d been crowned queen at the Les Masques Ball at Mardi Gras. At this year’s ball her friends Lily, Vivian, Piper and April are the royal court, with Lily LeBlanc as queen. Then a mysterious figure in a jester costume throws blood at the new queen of the ball. When Lily goes missing the next morning, the three friends try to find out what has happened to her. The girls discover that Margot’s death wasn’t an accidental overdose, someone killed her! Can they find Lily before she meets the same fate?

I wanted to love this book, unfortunately it wasn’t quite what I had hoped it would be. I liked it, but I was a little disappointed. The premise was perfect, the execution somewhat lacking.
Still a decent read though!
