Behind a Locked Door by Sarah A Denzil

Behind a Locked Door

When Lucy Foster visits her old friend and mentor Miriam, she hears a baby cry behind a locked door. She discovers her friend kept a teenage girl called Alice Holloway and her baby Jess captive in her cellar. Lucy immediately calls the police and soon after she visits Alice in the hospital. Alice keeps asking for her help, at first Lucy doesn’t mind but when she gets threatening messages, she stops seeing her.
Then she finds out Alice has been texting explicit messages to her son Theo, and she tells him he’s not allowed to see her again which results in Theo running away. Alice moves heaven and earth to find her son, to keep him away from Alice. Can she get to him in time though?

This is an excellent thriller with a lot of twists. I really enjoyed this book.
