For She is Wrath by Emily Varga

For She is Wrath

Dania was framed for a crime she didn’t commit, and she counts down the days in prison until she can take her revenge on Mazin, the boy who was the reason why she was arrested. Dania once loved Mazin, and even after all he’s done, she cannot forget him. Dania discovers that a fellow inmate may have the key to exacting her revenge, a djinn treasure, they plan a daring escape together.

Armed with dark magic, and a new identity, Dania sets out to find Mazin. She plans to take down the people who betrayed her and her family. However, the fire still burns between Mazin and Dania which makes it harder to follow through on her plan.

I really enjoyed this book even if the romantasy genre usually isn’t my thing. In this book, though the romance is a key part of the book, it also has an excellent storyline. I mean, who doesn’t like a good revenge story? This is a modern retelling of The Count of Monte Christo, which I also really enjoyed!
