The Everlasting by Alix E Harrow

The Everlasting

Sir Una Everlasting was the most famed knight of Dominion. She was an orphaned girl who rose to be the hero who died for queen and country. She was the subject of songs and stories.

Centuries later, a young man called Owen Mallory, a failed soldier and a struggling scholar, who fell in love with the story of Una Everlasting set out to write the legend of Sir Una. He is magically transported back in time where he meets her and becomes her lover.

We live Owen and Una’s world, the battles, the love, a world masterfully painted by Alix E Harlow.

This is a very original fantasy novel. which I did enjoy very much. Why only four stars then? Because the first Alix E Harrow’s book I read, The Once and Future Witches, blew me away and though this book was very good, it wasn’t as good as The Once and Future Witches.
