People Person by Candice Carty-Williams

Dimple Pennington, a lonely 30-year-old aspiring influencer faces a sudden crisis. She calls her four estranged half-siblings—Nikisha, Danny, Lizzie, and Prynce—who share a father, Cyril. The five siblings were briefly introduced as children by their deadbeat dad, Cyril, but grew up separately with four different mothers. Brought together by necessity, they are forced to deal with one another and their lingering trauma.

Dimple’s toxic ex-boyfriend, Kyron, attacked her in her flat. During the struggle, he slipped, cracked his head open, and stopped breathing. Believing she has accidentally killed him in self-defence, she calls Nikisha. Nikisha honors a promise she made when they were children (“if anything happens, you call me”) and rounds up the other three estranged half-siblings: Danny, Lizzie, and Prynce. They all show up at Dimple’s flat in the middle of the night.

This was an excellent read! I highly recommend it!
