Holly Smale (born December 7, 1981) is a British author best known for her internationally bestselling YA series Geek Girl, which sold 3.4 million copies, won the 2014 Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, and was adapted into a 2024 Netflix series. Previously a teen model, she holds a BA and MA in Shakespearean studies and writes neurodivergent-focused fiction, having been diagnosed as autistic at 39.
