Layne Fargo is a critically acclaimed author of psychological thrillers and deliciously dark, feminist fiction. She is best known for her hit novels The Favorites, They Never Learn, and Temper, and currently lives in Chicago with her partner and pets.Fargo holds degrees in theater, women’s studies, and library science. Before turning to writing full-time, she worked as a dramaturg and wrote her master’s thesis on neo-burlesque and the female gaze. Her publishing journey gained momentum when she participated in the Pitch Wars mentorship program, which directly led to the publication of her 2019 debut, Temper.
