Susan Dennard (born February 25, 1984) is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling American author of young adult and epic fantasy fiction. She is best known for her Witchlands series, the Something Strange and Deadly trilogy, and the Luminaries trilogy.
Raised in small-town Georgia, Dennard originally pursued a career in science. She earned a Master of Science in marine biology and statistics, which allowed her to travel across six of the seven continents. However, after meeting her husband, she chose to settle in Europe rather than pursue a PhD, pivoting her focus toward full-time writing.
