Kat’s Jamie is a jewel thief and when she’s found a catering job at a rich man’s estate, Kat goes along with her and it’s a good thing too because her mum gets violently ill and Kat takes her place.
Meanwhile, Jamie’s ex-husband Luke is at the estate as well with his son Liam. Luke is a con artist and he catfishes women online. Now he says he’s found the one, a very rich woman called Annalise Sutherland. Liam doesn’t believe that his father is trying to go straight.
When Liam meets Kat on the road outside the estate, he initially thinks she’s Jamie who he remembers fondly from their parents’ wedding in Las Vegas 12 years ago. Kat and Liam become friends, and they also befriend Annalise’s nephew Augustus Sutherland.
I did really enjoy this one – it was a fun read, and I didn’t see the twist coming…
