Book 3 of the Harper Connelly Series
In this book Harper is hired to find a missing teenager in Doraville, North Carolina. When she finds him, she finds a lot more than she bargained for. It’s a field filled with eight bodies of teenage boys. Then Harper is attacked and spends a night in hospital with a concussion (she was hit on the head with a shovel) and a hairline fracture in her arm.
The psychic Xylda Bernardo and her grandson Manfred come to town as well. Xylda is very ill, but insisted she needed to come to Doraville for Harper’s sake. Manfred is very taken with Harper (as he was in the previous book), and Tolliver is a little jealous.
Together they solve the case, but then Harper is taken by the accomplice of the man they have in custody, and this man is not taking any prisoners!
An excellent continuence of Harper and Tolliver’s story. I read this book a few years ago and decided to re-read the series this year. Am still loving it!
