Sisters of Fire and Fury by Laura Bates

Sisters of Fire and Fury

Cass returns to her childhood home and learns that she is not the daughter of the people that brought her up. In fact, she’s the daughter of Uther Pendragon and Igraine – the twin sister of the current high king: Arthur. Upon her return to the sisterhood of knights, she confides in some of her sisters. Angharad asks her to go to Camelot and warn Arthur about the Saxons and the Scots.

Cass infiltrates the castle as a lady’s maid to Queen Guinevere, and when Merlin notices her, he tries to make her leave the castle. But Cass stands her ground and goes to Arthur. She’s made to compete in the tournament of knights and when she wins, Arthur will listen to what she has to say… will she be able to beat Gawain and Lancelot?

I really enjoyed this book. More than the previous one in fact. I really like the feminist take on Arthurian legend.
