Finlay and Vero are trying to discover the identity of the contract killer EasyClean. Finlay suspects that it’s Nick’s partner Joey. In order to find proof, Finlay and Vero enrol in a course at the police academy for civilians. Finlay uses the guise of doing research for her new book which is due soon. Her publisher doesn’t like her first draft and demands more romance with the hot cop. However, Finlay’s relationship with Nick leaves to be desired as she hasn’t shared her suspicions of Joey.
As Finlay blunders through one after another situation, she learns that Joey does have a secret, but he is not EasyClean. She ultimately saves his life when the Russian mobster appears at the police academy.
I simply adore these books! I can’t wait for the next book to come out this spring, which I also intend to read for this challenge!
