Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

Daughter of the Pirate King

Book 1 of the Daughter of the Pirate King series

Alosa is the 17 year old daughter of Kalligan, the pirate king, and a siren. Kalligan has sent her on an important mission: she is to retrieve the parts of a map that was divided between the three pirate kings. Alosa has allowed herself be captured by Draxen and his brother Riden to find their part of the map. Draxen is not interested in Alosa, other than wanting to know where her father’s lair is. Riden on the other hand is charmed by her, and she’s attracted to him.

This is a re-read for me. I have planned to read Vengeance of the Pirate Queen (book 3 of the series) for another challenge, and so I wanted to review the entire series.

I enjoyed this book, I like the premise, and the strong female pirate Alosa. Even though she’s still young she’s a force to be reckoned with. Aside from his looks, I’m not sure what she sees in Riden…
