Miri is glad to have her wife Leah home after a deep-sea mission that ended in catastrophe. But as the days go on, Miri realises there’s something wrong with Leah – she’s not the same person she was when she left. Whatever happened, Leah has brought something home with her and acts rather peculiar like being in the bath for most of the day.
This is a really slow burn. A bit too slow for my liking. I liked learning about Miri and Leah before everthing went so wrong – but the current day bits of the book are quite boring. It’s clear that Miri is worried about her wife, but doesn’t know what to do about it.
I personally wouldn’t call this horror, it’s not scary perse. A little disconcerting maybe. An okay read, not great.
