Alice Hale and her husband have bought a house in the suburbs. Alice was let go from her job, however, she tells everyone she left her job to pursue her dream of writing her own book. In the new house she gets distracted when she finds the previous owner’s cookbook and tries to learn everything about this Nellie Murdoch.
Nellie is unhappy in her marriage, her husband is abusive and she tries to find a way out.
I loved this book, so well written and unputdownable.
