Taste by Stanley Tucci

Actor Stanley Tucci has written a memoir curried with recipes. It’s a very emotional read, he writes about the death of his first wife and his own battle with cancer. His stories about his childhood and his family are heartwarming. He name-drops a lot, and why wouldn’t he? He’s worked with so many huge stars (not that he isn’t one himself) so he gets a pass on that. Let’s face it, I so would name-drop too!

I enjoyed this memoir – it is definitely not my favourite genre, but because of the challenges I do, I do read a few every year. I’d heard Tucci’s memoir was great, so I borrowed it from the library and listened to it while I was working. Tucci reads it himself which is great. I’m not a foodie, but I was getting hungry listening to those recipes and his description of the food.

If I see this pop up on the Kindle deals, I will definitely snap it up.
