In the small town of Deadhart, Alaska, the body of a young boy is found with his throat ripped out. The suspicion falls on the town’s colony of vampyres, but the vampyres deny it of course. Detective Barbara Atkins, a specialist in vampyr killings, is sent to Deadhart.
I enjoyed this book, I do love a good vampire story. Though I did think this one dragged at times, the conclusion was surprising and tipped the scales towards four stars, instead of the three I thought it would get throughout.
