Aurora Teagarden Mysteries book 4
Aurora is about to marry Martin Bartell and she has the perfect wedding gift in mind for him – his parent’s old farm in Ohio. There’s one catch, Martin’s stepfather, who can’t stand him, still owns it. So Roe travels to Ohio and makes contact with a realtor in the little town Martin’s from under false pretenses. She tells them a story about being a representative from a church that wants to buy a fixer-upper farm. When she presents Martin with her present, he gifts her a house as well; the Julius House just outside of Lawrenceton. The Julius family disappeared from the house a little over six years ago, only the mother of Mrs Julius remained.
While playing frisbee with her bodyguard Angel, Roe finds the remains of the Julius family.
Another lovely cozy mystery in this series – Roe is cleverly written, though I don’t get the attraction to Martin. I was pleased to see that Madeleine the cat agrees with me.
