The Last Family in England by Matt Haig

The Last Family in England

Prince is a dog, a young black labrador, that’s striving hard to keep to the Labrador’s Pact – the most important rule is to remain loyal to your human masters and to serve and protect your family at all cost! Prince’s family consists of Adam and Kate Hunter and their children Hal and Charlotte. Prince is mentored by an old labrador called Henry and when Henry goes missing Prince takes it hard and things in his family go awry! One of the kids tries to commit suicide, Adam is meeting with another woman when he walks Prince and this woman’s dog is trying to lead Prince astray.

This book is so adorable. Prince is the goodest of bois! He is genuinely interested in keeping his family safe and together. Matt Haig really got inside the dog’s mind and wrote an endearing yet thrilling tale – missing dogs and dead bodies. Prince has got a good story there!

I listened to the audiobook and it was really well done. Now I really want to get a dog, and my cats won’t like it! Also, I’m very allergic to dogs, so it may not be the best idea.
