Aurora Teagarden Mysteries book 5
When Aurora and Angel are mowing the lawn, a dead body falls out of the sky, into Roe’s garden – the body is that of police sergeant Jack Burns. Jack never liked Roe, he thought it was suspicious that she kept finding bodies. As he had treated her as a suspect multiple times, Roe wasn’t too fond of him either.
Thankfully, the police realise that Roe couldn’t have been in two places at the same time and is eliminated from the suspect list. Then other strange things start happening and Roe is convinced the killer is after Angel, she thinks he has a crush on her…
At the same time, Roe is coming to terms with the diagnosis from the doctor that she’s infertile and that she and Martin will never have children..… and Angel learns that she is expecting even though her husband had a vasectomy.
Charlaine Harris has a very lovely writing style, it’s humorous even though she’s writing about a very serious subject: infertility. It’s not the main focus of the book but it is definitely one of the subplots in this book. It’s another lovely cozy mystery!
