Book 6 of the Finlay Donovan series
Finlay and her kids have to go without Vero now as she is under house arrest at her mother’s house in Maryland. Javi, Vero’s partner, keeps dropping in to help Finlay with chores. Neither Finlay, nor Javi, has heard from Vero in weeks, so they decide to go to Maryland to see how things are going. Nick, Finlay’s boyfriend, offers to look after the kids.
After Finn and Javi arrived in Maryland, they help Vero to prove her innocence. Their search takes them to Vero’s old sorority, and to her old boyfriend, who she was with when the theft occurred. Vero is determined to be involved with the research and she’s actively evading the officer who is in charge of her ankle monitor – who keeps appearing in places Vero says she’ll be, like her church during mass.
Will they be able to prove Vero didn’t steal the money? And will they find the thief?
I was so looking forward to this book. And when it arrived on my Kindle earlier this week, I immediately started reading it. As with the rest of the series, it is highly entertaining – a little slapstick like: funny and fast paced. I can’t wait for the next book. There are so many questions still unanswered!
