This book contains 4 novellas:

Snapshot is about kid in Sillicon Valley who is threatened by a thug called the Phoenician who carries around a Polaroid camera that can steal memories.
Loaded is about a security guard who is served a restraining order by his ex-wife and he’s not allowed to contact his kid either. All his weapons are confiscated and then he stops a mass shooting.
In Aloft, a couple of friends go skydiving to honour one of their friends who passed away. They promised her that they would do it, but Aubrey is terrified and doesn’t want to go through with it. Something goes wrong and he’s stuck on a cloud by himself.
Rain is set in Boulder, Colorado, where it rains nails and metal shards that kill people who are caught in the rain. Honeysuckle loses her girlfriend to this rain and decides to walk to Denver to tell her family, but a bunch of homophobes try to attack and kill her.
I wasn’t fussed about snapshot and aloft, but I really enjoyed the other two.
