The Ballad of Falling Dragons by Sarah A Parker

The Ballad of Falling Dragons

Book 2 of the Moonfall Series

Raeve’s love for Kaan Vaegor burns stronger than ever, and so does her thirst for vengeance. The coming moonfall forces her to choose between life and chasing death. Beginning as an assassin with only fragmented memories, Raeve discovers she is the reincarnated Elluin Neván. She navigates her profound bloodlust and the mysterious internal entity she calls “The Other” while learning to trust Kaan.

Kaan is desperate to save his kingdom from ruin. He is the warrior-poet King of The Burn spends his time protecting his kingdom from ruin and seeking moonshards. He battles the agony of a love he lost over a hundred phases ago.

A crucial turning point in the later acts is the realization that Kyzari—the captive princess bearing a god—is actually Kaan’s daughter. Alongside this, Kaan and Raeve discover that Elluin did not willingly abandon him in the past.

This book is a great romantasy and it has dragons! I absolutely adored the first book in the series so my expectations were really high for this one. Sadly, I didn’t enjoy this as much as the previous book (and felt a little disappointed). However, this is still a good read – I’ve given it four stars because I was a little disappointed.
