How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix

How to Sell a Haunted House

Louise gets a call from her estranged brother telling her that her parents have died in a car accident. She leaves her young daughter with her ex and goes back to her hometown for the funeral and the reading of the will.

As her mother was an avid puppeteer, the funeral is a little different than you’d expect. A lot of puppeteers have come to pay their respects. And the reading of the will doesn’t go as expected either. The relationship between Louise and her brother Mark was already strained, but it’s getting worse and worse.

When Louise gets some things from her parents’ home very strange things are happening, it seems like her mother’s puppets have come to life.

Grady Hendrix’ books are always good, and this one doesn’t disappoint. I listened to the audiobook and I was on the edge of my seat for several scenes. And just when you thought you could relax, he throws another curveball. We all know puppets are freaky, and this book only affirms that!
