Luke Evans grew up in a small village in Wales, and he was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. As a child, he would join his parents when they knocked on people’s doors to spread the word. He felt different from the other kids in his age group. As he came to terms with his sexuality, Luke left home and the religion, aged 17, for London. In his search for himself, he found that he loved to act and sing. He has starred in the London West End as well as in Hollywood films.
Really loved this memoir. I try to listen to the audio versions of most memoirs provided they are narrated by the author themselves. This memoir certainly didn’t disappoint. What a lovely man that Luke Evans! And I’m so impressed with his parents who still see and support him even though their faith frowns upon homosexuality. Awesome people!
