Harper Connelly is different, after she was struck by lightning she gained a strange ability: she can find dead people. Together with her step-brother Tolliver Lang, she travels across the country to help people find their loved ones, if they are deceased.
Harper and Tolliver are in Arkansas, she’s been tasked to find Teenie, a teenager whose boyfriend was found dead in the woods. The authorities have assumed that Dell killed himself after he killed Teenie – but is that the truth? Harper soon learns that Dell did not kill himself… can the killer stay hidden?
I like this series, Harper is pretty normal – apart from the finding dead people that it. She also has a scar on her leg. the so-called Lichtenberg figures – and she gets blinding migraines. To which I can relate, I have lots of ugly scars and I get bad migraines.
Charlaine Harris’s writing style is lovely – you can devour one of her books in no time! I just wish there were more than just the four books in this series.
