Alexandria Andros left the Covenant three years ago with her mother. Her mother, a pure blood Hematoi (the offspring of the gods and a mortal), was killed by daimons and Alex had to run. The Covenant found her and brought her back. She is now years behind in her training, yet somehow, she managed to kill two of the daimons that came after her and her mother. As Alex is a half-blood, her father was a mortal, she is not allowed to have a romantic relationship with a pure. However, she is starting to have feelings for the pure blood Aiden, who is in charge of getting her ready for the new school year.
When I read the blurb, I was under the impression that the book was about werewolves, not the offspring of gods. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I realised this. I also wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. Thoroughly enjoyable read, look forward to the rest of the series.
