Jess is a journalist living in the UK, thousands of miles away from her home country Australia. She gets a phone call; her grandmother Nora has been taken into hospital and it’s looking bad. Her grandmother raised Jess after her mum, Polly, left her with Nora. Jess immediately heads for Australia, and while there Jess unravels a family secret she probably wasn’t ready for.
This book kept me interested from the get-go to the end. It was a little predictable here and there but very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to reading more by Kate Morton!
