During the holiday season, Jessica works as Mrs Claus, and this year she’s at the Ellsbury Christmas Market grotto. Like Father Christmas, this Mrs Claus has a list – of naughty people, people Jessica wants to take out.
Author Fearne Dixon absolutely hates Christmas. Her husband is the manager of the Ellsbury Christmas Market and she’s so sick of it. When her former boss suddenly shows up and meddles with the management of the market, she sees red, especially because she has gotten a friend of Fearne’s sacked.
Though it’s not quite the holiday season yet, I snuck this read in this week and I’m glad I did. Though it’s set at Christmas, it’s unlike any other Christmas book I’ve read. It was dark and funny, and yet it does not kill the Christmas spirit.
