Elsie is 28, she’s funny and sexy, and fiercely independent. She lives in South London. She writes poetry and works in a gay bar, and she’s estranged from her family. She’s struggling with all the above and is afraid she’ll never make enough money to do what she loves. She’s also sleeping with her hot co-worker Bea which isn’t a straightforward relationship either.
I was expecting another Queenie from all the blurbs, just a queer one, but it fell short. Elsie’s renewed relationship with her old friend Juliet is interesting… all in all a good book, just was expecting more.
