Starling House is old, ugly, weird and full of secrets. Opal knows better than to mess with haunted houses and brooding men, but nonetheless gets involved with Arthur, the heir of the house.
This book has a very gothic feel to it…
I absolutely adored Alix E Harrow’s The Once and Future Witches and I hoped that The Ten Thousand Doors of January and Starling House would be just as amazing. Unfortunately, both fell a little short for me. Still good reads, but not quite as fabulous as The Once and Future Witches.
