The Hellbound Heart is the book that the film Hellraiser is based on. My husband is a massive fan of the film, and I’ve never seen it… and after reading the book I think I may pass.
Julia and her husband move into a quiet house in a quiet street where her husband’s brother was last seen. Julia had an affair with her brother in law, Frank, that started shortly before her wedding.
In the house, Julia becomes aware of a presence and she’s afraid the house is haunted, especially the room her husband had in mind for the master bedroom. The truth, however, is far scarier!
Even though I have no interest in watching the film, I did enjoy this book very much!
