We come with this place is a memoir written by Debra Dank, an Australian indigenous author of Gudanji and Wakaja descent. Dank won four prizes at the 2023 New South Wales Premier’s Literary Awards. She completed a Master of Education and graduated with a PhD in narrative theory and semiotics at Deakin University in 2021
Debra Dank weaves a mosaic of her own memories, her family’s history and Australian indigenous history. I belief part of this book was her thesis for her PhD degree. The stories are interesting and I would recommend this book.
