Dead Woman Walking by Sharon Bolton

Dead Woman Walking

Jessica treats her sister, a nun, to a balloon ride for her birthday. What was supposed to be an experience of a lifetime turned into a manhunt. The pilot of the balloon is shot dead and everyone is terrified – they still fly over the national park for a while. But due to everyone’s inexperience the balloon crashes. There’s only one survivor.

She walks across the national park, trying to hide in plain sight while the man who shot the pilot is hunting her. She manages to make it to a church in a small town. But the man in the trilby has found her there as well. Again, she manages to stay ahead of him, but will he find her?

The police are searching for her as well as she is the only one who has walked away from the balloon crash. Who will find her first?

I love Sharon Bolton’s books; she’s great with blood and gore and also keeps you on the edge of your seat with the storyline. She’s one of my auto buy authors.

This book will keep you guessing until the end, and then you’d still be surprised. An excellent read.
