Outlander Series Book 1
Claire Randall and her new husband Frank are on their honeymoon in Scotland. One day, Claire finds herself alone in a stone circle and she has travelled back in time. She comes across Jack Randall, her husband’s ancestor, who is the spitting image of Frank. His character, however, is completely different.
Claire is taken hostage by some Scottish men, and one of them takes a liking to her. Claire falls in love with the young man, James (Jamie) Fraser. We follow Jamie and Claire as she gives him information about the Jacobite uprising she remembers from history lessons, which she is now living.
I love this series! I’ve previously read the first 4 books in the series, and I’m re-reading the first few as I intend to review the entire series. This time, I listened to the audiobook and it was excellent!
I also love the TV series.
