After a lifetime of bounty hunting, orc Viv hangs up her sword for a more quiet life and opens a coffee shop in the city of Thune. No one knows what coffee is, and throughout the book it’s often referred to as bean juice. So that’s not a good start, and her enemies want her to fail. Viv befriends several people: Cal, Thimble and Tandri, they teach her that it’s okay to rely on the kindness of strangers.
Many people have raved about this book, and I couldn’t get into it. I guess this one just wasn’t for me.
